Dear Winter...

Dear Winter,
What can I say but--Welcome? I love you, dear winter. Your sudden, freezes breezes. The lovely snow you blanket the ground with. The bare trees that whisper and quiver in the wind, throwing their bony hands and heads together. The leaves you leave on the ground -- a residue of autumn. The freezing, nippy weather that makes people have to throw on a coat and scarf before going out. Boots. Snowballs. Snowmen :). Cocoa. Cider. Fires in the hearths. Cozy nights. But most of all, your testimony to the Lord. You, untamable winter, wild and wind swept, are one of God's greatest creations, and I love experiencing you. :) Thank you, dearest Father, for winter.

Starting today I am posting one thing I am thankful for up to Thanksgiving. And today, I am thankful for the blue winter outside that makes our home all the more cozy. (And yes, I know it's not winter yet but that doesn't matter.) :) *big grin*
