Another Question

Alright, so I thought I'd ask another question since all y'all gave me great answers on the last ones!
Here's the question:
What's your favorite kind of genre to read?
#1 Historical
#2 Historical fiction
#3 Fiction (not-fantasy. As in, reality sort of adventure)
#4 Sci-fi
#5 Fantasy

If y'all could give me one (or two, if you have two that you like equally) and tell me why you like reading that kind of genre, I would really appreciate it! Thanks y'all!

  1. GREAT question! I like all those categories, but I probably like historical and historical fiction the best.

  2. My all time favorite would definitely be #5. I love reading that classic fantasy of Lewis and Tolkien. Why? It's exciting, adventurous, and makes you think beyond normal reasoning and living.
But then, #2 is a favorite as well. Historical fiction is the stuff that *could* have happened, but most likely didn't, but it's fun to imagine that it did. :)

  3. I like reading christian fiction and mystery books!
One example of christian fiction- Faithful Heart by Al Lacy.
Mystery- Waking Hours by Lis Wiehl.

    :) Have a great day!

  5. Probably #2, and #3... although all said, my favorite is really a book that's slow and the plot is simple- the kind of book you fall in love with the characters and not the plot. It gives you the chance to fall in love with the people and not get so bogged down into simply action.

    Great list, by the way.

  8. Historical fiction is my most favorite genre to read! I like reading historical fiction because I always learn something interesting about the time period the story is set in. And also because I love that old romance and courting that went on ages ago.

  9. Fantasy- because it stretches my imagination and takes me to new worlds! When I'm reading a fantasy novel, I can experience the impossible.
