Weird and Wonderful
Those of you who have read this blog longer will probably know that I don't get an Awkward and Awesome post up very often...Actually I've never done an Awkward and Awesome post; I've done an Enlightening and Enthralling one, because I was just *so* tired of everyone doing Awkward and Awesome posts. Well, in my case, from now on, I think I'm going to do Weird and Wonderful (fits with Willa, ya know?) :D
Wonderful:
* My sisters. The. Best. EVER.
* Playing a board game with my little siblings that I hadn't played since I was eight. (Ouch. Now I feel really old...:P)
*Scheming up music videos. I literally burst out laughing at some of the ideas I come up with. (And then that also fits in the Weird category because everyone stares at you like your crazy.)
* Thunder Storms. Lightning. That beautiful, humid wind that splatters on your face when you walk outside and you can just feel the storm coming.
* Chocolate. 'Nuf said.
Weird:
^ Dragging a soaking wet mattress fifty feet across your yard by stuffing a sled under it and sliding it across the grass....And then your sister comes upon you and asks what your doing, and you're like "Uh...isn't it obvious?"
^ Being called a magnet. Long story short my friend and I are now officially called "Like Magnets" because we're always talking with each other. Always.
^ Trying to get to sleep, can't get comfortable, switch positions, and then deciding you want to go back to the position you were just in and doing a mental "Control Z".
^ Randomly going to your sister and asking her to clap twice while you video-tape her. My family has learned just not to ask when it comes to strange things like this.
What was weird, wonderful, enlightening, enthralling, awkward, or awesome about your life lately?

Well, honey-you asked for it. "What was weird, wonderful, enlightening, enthralling, awkward, or awesome about your life lately?" If 59 peeps did that, you would be thrilled, but since nobody does, I'll do it for them. In 10,000 words. And so I'll tell you. So I'll go write a book now... on your blog. ;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful:
^Seeing a little girl at a park trying to find her mom through all the swings, monkey bars, and slides, and tearfully hiding behind a tree. She had the saddest expression on her face, and just as I was about to go over and ask if she was ok, she left and walked away. A few seconds later, she had found her mom, and was just sobbing while her mom held her. Such a precious moment.
^Running a mile and not being super exhausted. :D
^The clouds parting just enough to let the early morning sun leak through onto the misty valley, and then these huge sun beams pour through, and you stand amazed just looking at the whole seen.
^When people know your coming-not by the heavy steps you take, or your grunts and groans- but by the splashing of water in your huge mud boots and the swishing of your long denim skirt. :)
^Photo shoots with really nice cameras and lenses. And pretty people. Like my sister. <3
Weird:
Catherine asking me, "why is your nose always so shiny?" Ummmmm..... ok.
^ Feeling a sense of pride as you shout across a field "DO I EVEN CARE???!!!" to your rooster when he won't stop crowing. And then realizing that was REALLY immature. :P
^Thinking to myself while ironing, "Wow! This iron is hot!" Then remembering, "oh yeah. It's an iron. :P" And promptly burning myself. I've ironed so much these past few days.
^The dog jumping on your little sister, so you hurdle the electric fence (in your dad's HUGE mud boots,) with this random, rusty, steel pole, run all the way down a hill to your crying sis, wrestle the dog, punish him, and take your sister back out to the pigs, train my pigs, lift 50 pounds of pig food over a different fence, and lock the chickens up. Farm life is so busy and extraordinary.
And AWKWARDDDD: Everybody in the car clapping everywhere while trying to kill fruit flies, and us "kids" having legit competitions of who can kill the most. :0
And now since I've just written the Odyssey, I'll close. Love you, and praying for your family.
