Writer's Wednesday || Time Travel--Help Needed!

Okay...So... I have this idea for a story installment here on my blog. You know, a short section of a story every week or two. And I really like it (it's got time travel--I can't help but like it.) But I need help.
I needs names.
The two main characters are a girl and a boy. Probably both around the age 13. Th boy has red hair and green eyes. The girl has brown hair and blue eyes. I would LOVE it if you guys commented and gave suggestions (for both first and last names). Think you can help me out?

  1. Here's what I came up with:
The boy: William Bingley (You can call him Liam for short)
The girl: Ali or April Portlynn

Those are the first names that came to mind :D Good luck writing your story!

  2. *Coughs* The Doctor.
    Jk, jk.
How about...hmm... Kyle is a cool boy's name. Sophie is a cool girl's name. If you google "surnnames" or "last names" you'll come up with lots of awesome last names.

  4. Hi Willa! I just found your blog, and am loving it, and I'm sure I'll be back! So in case your wondering who "Marian" is, that's just me.

Girl: Mia, Carolina, Atlanta, Rosa-Lee, Sara, Chloe, Lauren, Tessa, Shauna, Ellen, Sophie, Caitlin, Bridget, Becca, Jessica, Emma, Clara, Fiona, Eleanor, Maggie, Meg, Beth.....

Boy: Paul, Eric, Jamie (or James for that matter!), Charlie (um.....that's my horse.....) Sean, Adam, Solomon (call him Sol?), Micheal, Mark, Daniel, Matthew.....

That's all I can think of! My sympathy is yours...... I can't stand when I just can't find the right name for a character: very frustrating indeed!

  5. I love your idea for a story!
Questions about the names.. Do you want names that are more common, or more different/unique? Also, Does the story start taking place in the present? Or in the past or future?
What first came to my mind for the girl is Hazel Montgomery. Clarissa (or Claressa) mean 'Bright/ shining and gentle/ famous.'
For the boy... Rory/Rorey/Rhory means 'red king'. (Since you said the boy has red hair..) Rory (spelled like that) can also be a girl's name. Barrett means 'brave as a bear'. (Barrette is the girl's form of the name and has the same meaning.)
If you want their names' meanings to reflect their personalities, you can search 'names that mean ...'
Okay, can you tell that I'm having WAY too much fun with this! ;) I'm going to leave you with that, and go get back to school. :) Can't wait to see what you come up with!

    1. Rebekah! Hey!
I'm thinking that this actually take place in a different world, but in modern-like times, if that makes sense? I still have to work out the details...
I honestly don't know what I want for the names. One reason why I enlisted y'all's help. :D Thanks for the suggestions!

  11. Or you could go with Ashton (Ash) Bryant for the guy and Kyrie Skylark for the girl. Gonna tell us which names you pick? Please do! Love the photographs in this post.

  12. Lorena. It's a little different, but I think it is the perfect name for a brown haired girl. Lorena is going to be one of my children's names if it is something that I remember in the future. I really like the idea of writing a weekly bit of the story. Your writings are intriguing! Please tell us the names you pick!
