Monday Musings // My Book List

I am excited to announce the opening of a new page here--my Book List!
If I'm not writing, eating, sleeping or doing school, I'm reading. Probably 50% of my life has been spent stuck between the pages of a book. Each book I read seems to become a part of me, it grows and expands me, my mind, my imagination--whether or not it was a good story or if it was bad one.
I like to stick to good ones, though. This Book List page I've filled with all of my favorite books that I've read in the past several years. I know I appreciate getting books suggestions by friends and am always delighted to discover another good book series, which is why I'm setting this up for any of you out there who feel the same. :)

I'm well past the age of reading juvenile fiction without being questioned. But the truth is, a good story is a good story. I'm not ashamed to read books meant for eleven-year-olds. As C.S. Lewis said, "I hope one day I shall be old enough to read fairytales again." So on my Book List, you'll find everything from Christian Romance (yeah, if you're younger than 14, check with your parents) to juvenile fantasy books, to YA post-apocalyptic. I hope you guys enjoy and benefit from this! Go and check it out!

"'Classic' A book which people praise and don't read." ~Mark Twain

"It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it."
~Oscar Wilde

"A person who won't read has no advantage over a man who can't." ~Mark Twain

“When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking.”
~Albert Einstein
