Once upon a time, one lovely day,
Summer greeted me with a wave,
Gusting its windy fingers through my hair
Warm, whispering, sunny, fair.
When I headed out that day
I spied a tree by the way.
Spreading its aspen branches high,
Up, up, above to the sky.
Another step along the road
I saw rabbit tracks in dirt bestowed.
Only a local coyote in a howling pack,
Saw the rabbit that made those tracks.
After some time, and before long
Once I had started carrying on
I saw a lovely little, fluffy bed,
Of roses chubby, round and red.
Then I found the highway,
Cutting through my walk that day,
Smacking to a stop
My lovely, blissful walk.
I know it's winter, but I found this and thought it would be fun to post. :)
