Hello! Welcome to my "newish" blog! I hope that I can share lot's with y'all. Sorry that it has taken so long for this change to finally be finished. I'm not usually a big pink+brown person, but I like the way the new design worked.
Well, for my first post on "Scribblings" I'll post about my little adventure 'neath my bed.
Around two or three weeks ago, I cleaned out underneath my bed (it was like a lady bug and dust bunny colony under there). And, guess what I found! My bibliograph. The big binder where I basically store every story, poem, or picture I've made. When I found it, I realized I had some recent things to add to it, but...there was no room.
Yes, that is the book. And yes, it truly was that full. I hated to have to do it, but I decided it was time to purge. Do you ever know that you really ought to just throw away some things, but then you look at them and get a pit of guilt in her stomach? Yeah. That's how I felt.

To do or not to do. Now that is the question.
The Bibliograph of a Bibliophile. I had just learned greek when I titled it. :D
Step one: Go through page by page
This was supposed to be a self portrate. I still have a long way to go.

Half of the short stories I had in there all started with
"Amy woke to..." :)

Bye bye fictional-history section!

Check this fairies' name. Haha: The "TGBPGOTPT". Which, unabbraviated, means: "The Temporary, Giggling, Bright Pink Gaurians Of The Peach Tree." It was for a story I was writing.

This is the best dragon I've ever drawn. His name is Magorn.

This was also supposed to be a self portrate. :D

This pic and the ones below like it are all somewhat like many of my friends. The one above is of my little sister Elsie (grown a bit). I went into this faceless stage where all I drew were faceless girls in pretty dresses.

This is me too. I'm glad, though, that my real self has a face.

.....And.....this was all I got rid of. Measely, I know, but I just couldn't throw away the other stuff. It was at least enough to squish in the new, recent stuff.

Doesn't look any different, does it?
I probably wont be able to post again within the next few days. School has started for us again and I don't have much time to blog.
Have a great week, y'all!

Ever think about filling up another one instead of making room from your old one? Just askin :-)
ReplyDeleteYes! I hate it when I have to throw something away that I've had for forever. It makes you feel so guilty.

Wow, awesome post Willa!! I love your drawings. I'm really jealous right now. ;) today, Catherine came up to me and said, "Andrea, Can you dwaw a pwetty gull in a dress?" I tried my best to draw a pretty girl in an old fashioned,-princess style dress, but it was NOTHING compared to yours :P And I know!! I just went through ALL my old letters I had saved, and I threw away A TONE of them.:P
ReplyDeleteAnyway, keep up cleaning up!!

Andrea
