A Heart to Fly
Oh that we would heed
The lesson of the
birds.
Those little fearless
feathery flecks
High up in the sky.
Soaring upwards, they
soar onwards
Despite the winds up high.
They press towards,
always forwards,
In the raging storms.
In the sleet and
snow, they sing
The darkest night
reforms.
How is it that these
little puffs of fluff,
Have the heart to
fly?
Despite the thunder
and the height,
Of the dangerous
skies?
How do these things,
so frail,
Have the bravery to
soar?
How can they, despite
their size,
Meet the thunder’s
roar?
Could it be they fly
because,
They trust in their
Creator?
Who far exceeds our
every doubt,
And is by far much greater?
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.... By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. ..." ~Hebrews 11
